From Lotuses in Buddhist cave paintings, the floral carvings at Ajanta Caves to Poppies and Roses in Mughal designs, Tulips from the Ottoman Empire (which also influenced Indian designs) as well as Jaipur block prints that rightfully embrace floral motifs, these motifs have made their way through history.
