Speaker | DD Talks 2025 | Design Democracy Krsnaa Mehta is globally celebrated for his distinctive aesthetic and visionary approach to textiles and home decor. With an innate ability to cultivate layered relationships between space, material, and meaning, he creates interiors that are bold, dynamic, and deeply evocative. Every design reflects his personal mantra: “Taking Indian Contemporary to the World.” Born into a family steeped in the textile business, Krsnaa began his journey at a young age with his family’s legacy brand, Zeba. Immersed in the vibrancy, motifs, and symbols of India, he developed a design language that fuses heritage with a modern sensibility. This fusion is now his signature style, luxuriously Indian, yet globally relevant. Over the past two decades, Krsnaa has collaborated with some of the most iconic Indian and international brands including Good Earth, The Elephant Company, Bombay Store, Westside, and Celio, earning multiple accolades along the way. He is a four-time winner of the ELLE DECO International Design Awards (EDIDA) and has proudly represented India on the global stage at IMAGINE India at Macy’s, San Francisco. In 2013, Krsnaa founded India Circus @krsnaamehta @indiacircus a design-forward lifestyle and decor label that celebrates India’s rich cultural narratives with a contemporary twist. The brand was acquired by Godrej & Boyce in 2018, where he now serves as Executive Director and Design Visionary. Under his leadership, India Circus has grown into a household name, transporting customers from the palaces of Rajasthan to the banana plantations of the Cauvery Delta through thoroughly crafted pieces that span cushions, tableware, wall art, and more.
